The technology that was available in Mr. Bearinger’s classroom was a document camera connected to a laptop. Also, there are 10 ThinkPads available to the class but are shared with the other third grade classes. Our mentor teacher uses the document camera a great deal so the students are used to viewing lessons through it.
We used the document camera for most of our lessons. If there was any whole group instruction we utilized the document camera because the students were used to instruction in that manner. We also utilized the ThinkPads for two of our module lessons. The students really enjoyed using the ThinkPads because it game them a chance to use technology independently.
